Careers Education and Guidance are formally introduced into the curriculum in Year 9.
Students are given career profile assessments in Year 10. Extensive career consultations are held with both parents and students in Years 10 to 13, supplemented by expert advice provided during weekly visits by a consultant from the Kent County Careers Service.
As part of the curriculum, students have work experience in a variety of organisations. Careers seminars are held in the summer term; all students visit a variety of manufacturing and commercial firms and the Sixth Form attend national careers conventions.
After A levels at Sackville, most students continue their education at university or colleges of further education.
We give extensive help and advice in completing application forms for places in the University Clearing System (UCAS). Some students prefer to go into industry or commerce via management training schemes after Year 13.
